What Does It Mean To Go On A Diet

What does it mean to go on a diet and why do you think you need to go on a diet?  Obviously, you "go on a diet" because you want to lose weight. But...what is going on a diet?

Typically, when we think about going on a diet we are thinking about cutting calories out of our daily eating routine.  However, thinking about dieting in such a 1-dimensional way is not what will help most people lose weight and or improve the aesthetic appeal of his or her body.

If you're at a point where you want to lose weight, it is most likely not because you eat too many calories. (Yes it is) But, the main point you need to think about is that you are overweight because you don't eat clean....In other words you simply eat too much junk.

Basically what im trying to say, is that if you simply try to eat cleaner... you will lose weight in a legitimate way and possibly keep it off.  Most of the difficulty in weight loss is psychological.  The biggest deterence is often the fact that you don't believe you have the ability to lose weight.
Another common issue with someone who is overweight or unhappy with their body is that they rationalize that they don't understand why they aren't as fit as they want to be.  This isn't a slam against the character of that person.  It is often simply because they've not achieved.  It is also often the case that we are brainwashed and fed bull shit about how to be fit from so called experts.

The truth is, if you are overweight, or simply not as fit as you want to be, it is because you eat too much junk and or are a lazy person at this point in time.  Focusing this this entry on Food...You somehow feel like your life is not complete without indulging yourself with unhealthy food.   The trouble is that you mentally rationalize that this is not true and this is what you need to think about in order to start reshaping your mind.

In contrast, Its almost impossible to over eat healthy food such as whole grains vegetables fruits and even meats.  If you make it a point to eat healty, you will have a better life in many aspects in addition to the aesthetic appeal of you're figure.

Those who over eat or are overweight eat too many calories, and these calories are always majorly empty calories. You simply will not over eat more healthy foods.

Basically, in this post im trying to get you to think about what you need to do to lose weight.  Do you need to "go on a diet"? or do you simply need to change your way of thinking about how you should eat and think about the real reasons why you aren't as fit as you want to be.

An important point for many readers... there is no genetic pre disposition to be overweight.  You only gain weight when you get more calories than you burn.  The only genetic factor in contributing to someone being overweight is the fact (not a fact but pretty damn close) that most unhealthy parents easily instill there own eating habits, recipes, and lifestyle into their children.

Make a habit of eating clean and over time your fitness goals / the aesthetic appeal of your body will be better.  Simply eat clean and don't overload your brain with the idea of starving yourself or even cutting down normal calories.  Eat clean and exercise regularly in some form and you will undoubtedly become a fit person.

If you simply make it a habit to eat better, you won't burn yourself out thinking that you're current diet is such a drag.   As long is you feel like you're diet is a drag, you will ultimately fail and you will continue to be unhappy with many aspects of your life.  You will not overcome your insecurities about your body for long unless you simply make it a priority to eat healthy, get some exercise and enjoy it.  No exceptions...

Healthy, Fit people, are people that find a way to enjoy a healthy and fit lifestyle. U2EYSNTCVUA8
